3 hours working with acrylic and a lot of medium.
I don't really know why I did this, the idea had been in my head for the last couple of weeks and it just wouldn't go away until I did it. Its a very simple painting so please be kind.
I was watching my boyfriend play Halo 2 while painting this, weird noises to be painting something so barren.

First impressions it reminds me of something from the start of an Arther Conan Doyle novel (Holmes must solve the murder of the owner of the eye owww, it's cuz I'm listening to his bio on the radio atm and it keeps referring to inspiration from desolate vistas).
How did you make the background look so scratched? At first I thought you sanded it ruffly once dry, but no time in only 3 hours.
I think the scene is a good composition, it creates a dramatic impression straight off. I think the only thing I would change is the eyeball, I'd have it hanging further down, makes me feel uncormfortable looking at it in the image where it is (then again maybe that's a good thing).
